LE FEL Winegrower's getaway

A little-known gem perched on this wild part of the Lot Valley, Le Fel will charm you with its authenticity and natural beauty. From the verdant hillsides at its feet, the panoramic views of the meandering Lot and nearby Cantal are breathtaking.

Le Fel Pays des Coustoubis

In this picturesque village, low stone walls and lauze roofs tell wonderful stories. These are the stories of the Coustoubis – the people of the hillsides – who took modest pride in the hard work they put into their thousand-year-old vines. As far back as the Middle Ages, mention was made of the small castle in this area, which changed its name several times. Today, all that remains is a round tower. Discover it among the pretty houses as you walk along the narrow ridge on which Le Fel is built.

From sunrise to sunset, as the seasons change, the colors of the vines offer an ever-changing spectacle.

Discovery tour A vineyard, a village

To find out everything you need to know about the origins of Fel and its vineyards, its natural environment and its customs, take this tour, which also offers fantastic views of the Lot! Below, the Conservatoire de la Vigne et des Techniques Culturales (Vineyard and Cultivation Techniques Conservatory ) takes you back to the vineyard as it was a century ago (with its old-fashioned cultivated vines and restored dry-stone structures).

  • 40 interpretation panels
  • Upper part of circuit accessible to all (village)
  • Vineyards slippery in wet weather and may be closed during the harvest.
  • Espace Marcelle Cayron presents life in days gone by, with vineyards, chestnuts, honey-making and navigation on the Lot (open-air museum).

Plein les Yeux at Roussy church

Just 500 meters to the east of Le Fel, Roussy marks the summit of the ridge running almost parallel to the Lot River, on which the two villages rest. Recognizable by its white church with pointed bell tower, its elevated hilltop offers an even more spectacular panorama!
