Upstream, a gentle thrill The ideal family descent

Opt for our descent from Saint-Côme-d’Olt orEspalion to Estaing, a route that will reveal the finest jewels of our region.

Let yourself be carried away by the waters of the Lot, alternating between these three villages on the route to Santiago de Compostela, two of which are Plus Beaux Villages de France®, and passages in the heart of nature for a moment out of time. Keep your eyes peeled! The river is home to a discreet but fascinatingfauna. With a little luck and patience, you might catch a glimpse of a playful otter or a majestic heron stalking fish. It’s a magical family outing that’s suitable for all levels.

The calm waters of the Lot also have a few thrills in store for you, such as crossing the jetty at Espalion.

For the more adventurous, why not try stand-up paddling in Estaing? Sail to the foot of the château for a breathtaking view, or enjoy a magical evening out during the Son et Lumière festival.

Downstream, it's all downhill! For adventurers

Ready for a splashy , refreshinggetaway ?

The Lot awaits you for an unforgettable descent fromEntraygues-sur-Truyère, where its course rises beneath the waves of the Truyère. Leave the hustle and bustle of the village behind and immerse yourselfin nature, where birdsong and the rustle of dragonfly wings accompany your journey. The silence will be short-lived on the more eventful sections, where a few joyful cries of fright are likely to erupt! As you make your way down, you’ll be able to admire vine-covered hillsides, catch a glimpse of our hanging villages, and take advantage of the wide banks for a picnic break before reaching Vieillevie or Grand-Vabre.

Whether you’re a thrill-seeker or just looking to relax, our base offers a variety of water sports for the whole family, including rafting, stand-up paddling, canoeing and kayaking.

The little ones won’t be left out either, with activities suitable from the age of 5!

This part of the Lot is wilder than upstream, but is still accessible to all, and promises a memorable adventure with family or friends.
