#5 The Château de Cabrespines On the heights of Coubisou

Built on a promontory called “Tourruol” in the 12th century, this strategically defensive castle protected the Lot Valley as far as Anglars. Once the residence of the Counts of Rodez, it was demolished by order of the Prince de Condé. In compensation, its last captain received permission to rebuild part of the ruins in 1643, and became Seigneur de Cabrespines. Situated on a wooded hillside, it invites you to enjoy a bucolic escapade in the heart of the feudal world, with its overhanging view over the valley. Today, the site is privately owned and exceptionally open to visitors for guided tours during the summer season.
