Truyère gorges Wilderness rendezvous

Between Aubrac and Monts du Cantal, the Truyère has carved deep, winding gorges into the granite plateaus, often wooded and wild. Originating in the Monts de la Margeride in Lozère, it ends its wild course 170 km further on at Entraygues-sur-Truyère, where it flows into the Lot. From islands and peninsulas formed by dam reservoirs to remarkable sites and suspended belvederes, the impetuous river reveals a majestic setting.

A jewel of nature wild and unspoilt

Thousands of years of erosion have given the Truyère Gorges this steep relief, where nature expresses itself with raw strength and untamed beauty. From vertiginous cliffs reflected in shimmering waters to dense hardwood forests, they are a living tableau of incredible biodiversity. For nature and photography enthusiasts, the Truyère invites you to immerse yourself in the heart of the elements, close to the flora and fauna.
